Say who you are, what the amount is and what it was for, and ask for a date or a payment. Keep it to two or three sentences. The ten messages above follow that shape.
Start with a greeting, name the amount and the item, say it is due, and end with thanks. For example: "Good morning, a small reminder that GH₵ 200 for the rice is due. Thank you."
A first message that assumes the person simply forgot: polite, no pressure, and with an easy way to answer. Message 1 is one.
For a company or a new client, yes: use "Dear" and "Kindly arrange payment" (message 9). For a regular customer, a friendly message gets paid faster.
There is no rule. A common pattern is one on the due date, one a few days later, one a week later and a last one with a date. See the five-step version on the debt reminder page.
