How to write a VAT invoice in Ghana?
A VAT-registered business issues a tax invoice with its TIN, a sequential number, the date, the buyer, the items and the VAT, NHIL and GETFund shown separately. This page gives a simple invoice for traders who are not VAT-registered; the details above are linked to GRA and a law-firm summary.
Is there a free invoice template for Ghana?
Yes, this one: a filled sample and a blank A4 sheet with MoMo payment details. Tap Print and choose Save as PDF, or print it.
What is e-VAT invoicing in Ghana?
GRA's electronic invoicing system for VAT. Its rollout started with large taxpayers in 2022 and has widened in phases (vatcalc.com, May 2025, secondary). A trader who is not VAT-registered is not described as part of it in the sources we read.
Can a small trader without a TIN issue an invoice?
This page does not say you must or must not. The TIN line is optional on the sheet. Leave it blank if you have none, and write it once you register.
How long should I keep invoices?
At least six years, according to a summary of the Revenue Administration Act 2016 (section 27). Keep a photo as well as the paper.
